Young Women In Harmony

Young Women in Harmony

Young women are the future of our organization! Over the years, Region 11’s Young Women in Harmony program has sent several quartets to the International Rising Star competition. Our latest representatives, HARMONYHOLICS, have been voted Stars to Watch 3 years in a row! Your tax-deductible donations are used to help further the spread of our art form by funding youth harmony festivals and helping our representative quartets travel to the Rising Star competitions.

YWIH delivers both musical excellence and education while it gives young women a taste of show business. This program provides educational tools to teach young women singers the joy of performing this American vocal music art form. The goal is to provide educational and performance opportunities through music festivals, contests, and events sponsored locally, regionally, and internationally. Additionally, the YWIH program offers music educators a means of including the study and performance of barbershop harmony in school music programs. For information about the Region 11 YWIH Program, contact Janice Kueppers.

A Region 11 YWIH Fund was established to support Region 11 Rising Star International competitors as well as to provide funding support to Region-sponsored YWIH events. If you would like to make a contribution to the Region 11 YWIH Fund, please contact Laura La Borde. Your financial support is needed and appreciated! Remember, donations to this fund are tax-deductible!
