About Region 11

Region 11 is comprised of choruses in Central and Southern California, and Nevada. Because of our close geography, we enjoy friendships with many people from other choruses.

Mission Statement

Sequoia Pacifica Region 11 is a vibrant and supportive community of singers within Sweet Adelines International that inspires, empowers, and celebrates every voice in service to our members’ growth and greatness.

Educational Seminars

Region 11 provides superb education for our members. We hire the best coaches in the Sweet Adelines organization! In addition to great classes and performance opportunities, there are many other fun-filled activities. Don’t miss our TWO annual seminars: Summer Sizzler (July or August) and Fall Festival (October or November). Each seminar offers unique events – come to Bakersfield and experience them all!

Regional Competition

Our annual competition – typically held in March or April in Bakersfield – is an exciting opportunity to measure our educational progress. Judges give detailed feedback on our performances, which can be used as a learning tool to improve ourselves, as well as the group. Activities begin Thursday night and continue through Sunday noon. Plan now to attend the WHOLE weekend!

Novice Contests

Grab some friends and experience the fun of singing in the Novice Quartet or Novice Double Quartet Contest! Novice Quartets compete at Summer Sizzler, and Double Quartets sing at Fall Festival. It’s educational. It’s safe. It’s fun!
