  • What are the registration options available?

    • Only All-Events tickets (AETs) are available.
    • You can choose either General Admission or VIP Seating.

  • What is the difference between General Admission and VIP Seating?

    • General Admission is open to everyone.
    • VIP Seating is reserved for:
      • 50+ Year Members
      • Current and Past Regional Leaders
      • Convention and Seminars Committee Members
      • Members of the International Board of Directors (IBOD)
      • International Quartet Champions
      • Members of the current International Champion Chorus
      • Members of the International Faculty
      • International Judges
      • Region 11 Noteworthy Award recipients
      • Current Region 11 Winners’ Circle Director
      • Current Region 11 Winners’ Circle President
      • Members of the Mic Testing Quartet
      • Members of the current Region 11 Champion Quartet
      • OPL staff
      • Certified Music Arrangers (CMAs)

  • Can I choose my own seat during registration?

    • No specific seat assignments are available; all seating is first-come, first served in the section you are eligible for.

  • How many registrations can I do in one order?

    • One registration per order.

  • Can my Convention Registration be sold or transferred?

    • If you are a Region 11 member, the cost of your registration is included in your Regional Assessment, so the registration cannot be sold or transferred.
    • If you are not a Region 11 member, you can sell or transfer your registration to another individual without additional fees.
    • If you need to sell or transfer your registration, please contact the Region 11 Registration Manager (registration@sairegion11.com) for assistance.

  • Are Convention registrations refundable?

    • No refunds are allowed for purchased registrations, but you may transfer or sell your (non-Region 11 member) registration to another individual. Please contact the Region 11 Registration Manager (registration@sairegion11.com) for assistance.

  • The name on the registration/AET doesn’t match the attendee. Is this okay?


  • Will “day passes” be available for the Convention?

    • We will not be offering "day passes" (Single Event Tickets - SETs) this year.

  • Does a chorus or quartet member who is competing or performing but is not planning to attend any other events still have to purchase a Convention registration at full price (Competitor All-Events Ticket)?

    • Yes. Any individual performing on the Regional Stage is required to purchase/register for a Competitor All Events Ticket (AET) at full price in order to perform. Quartets and Choruses whose members do not abide by this will be subject to disqualification from competition.

  • How do I get my AET after purchase?

    • All registration tickets will be held for pickup at the will-call desk.

ADA, Accessibility, and Family Accommodations (back to top)

  • Is there ADA seating available at the venue?

    • (need this answer)

  • Where can we rent a scooter or wheelchair for mobility assistance?

    • Unfortunately, there are no locations nearby that provide this service. If you require a scooter or wheelchair for mobility, you will need to bring it with you.

  • Can I bring my children to the Convention?

    • Yes, children are welcome at the Convention.

  • Are there any discounts available for children?

    • Yes, children 12 and under can attend for free, but they must be registered.
    • Youth 25 and under are eligible for a discount as well.

  • Will there be a “Barbertots” room available at the Convention?

    • No, there will not be a specific room for small children at the Convention.

  • What is the schedule for the 2026 Regional Convention?

    • The tentative schedule is as follows:
      • Thursday, April 16: Committee meetings and Region 11 Winners’ Circle reception for competing quartets
      • Friday, April 17: Quartet Competition
      • Saturday, April 18: Chorus Competition, Afterglows
      • Sunday, April 19: Regional Brunch

    • Can we expect a Harmony Bazaar/Boutique at the Convention?

Contest Venue and On-Site Policies (back to top)

  • What is the primary venue for the 2026 Regional Convention?

    • Kerr McGee Community Center, 100 W. California Ave, Ridgecrest, CA

  • Do I have to bring my All-Events (AET) badge to the event?

    • General attendees will need the All-Events (AET) badge to enter the event.
    • Competitors will need the All-Events (AET) badge to re-enter the contest venue after their performance.

  • What is the Bag Policy of the Contest venue?

    • While there is no specific bag policy, it’s recommended that you only bring a small bag into the venue. Large bags or backpacks should be left in your vehicle or at your home or hotel room.

  • Will food and/or beverage/water bottles be allowed in the venue for attendees?

    • Water bottles (plastic or refillable) will be allowed in the venue, but in order to keep the venue clean, food and other beverages will not be allowed.

Hotels and Transportation (back to top)

  • Where is the headquarters hotel for the 2026 Regional Convention?

    • No specific hotel is designated as the headquarters hotel. All official Convention activities will take place at the Contest venue (Kerr McGee Community Center).

  • How can I book or change my hotel reservation?

    • All hotel reservations should be made on your own, using the information provided in the “Hotels and Venues” section of the event page.
    • Region 11 Registration staff do not have access to any hotel reservation records.

  • Is there a convention rate for hotel reservations?

    • No, there are no special rates available.

  • Is there parking available at the venue?

    • Information about parking availability will be provided closer to the event.

  • What is the nearest Airport to the 2026 Regional Convention?

    • The closest major airport is ONT (Ontario International Airport), 123 miles south of Ridgecrest.

  • Will there be official transportation/busing from the local hotels to the Convention venue?

    • No, all competitors and attendees must provide their own transportation to and from the Convention venue.

    • No, there will not be a webcast or livestream this year.
